  • Welcome to the Medicine Cabinet. My name is Jenna Hitchcock and today we're going to talk about embodiment practices and how they are a powerful medicine tool practice to bring us back into the present moment and to allow what is so. I have been trained in different modalities for integrating into the body and embodying what is here and allowing what is here. Two of those trainings are a biodynamic breath work and trauma release system, which is working with different pillars continuous breath, sound, touch, movement, emotions, allowing emotion and meditation, as well as self-pleasure practitioner. So that aspect as well is really leading into the pleasure of the body and allowing what shows up that may be disconnecting us from our pleasure, and I find both of these modalities lead us to that place. We get led into that clarifying, blissful state when we move into the practices that allow us to see where we're really stuck. Or there's tension in the body, or there may be a holding pattern that's not allowing the pleasure, the full spectrum of pleasure, from pain to pleasure, and I've talked about this in different retreats that I've been in when we've done pleasure retreats where the threshold between pain and pleasure is so thin it's even thinner than a sheet of paper that threshold from pain to pleasure is non-existent. We think they're contrasted to each other, but when you allow both to exist at once, they become one. It's like one part of the whole. And this is when we go out of not being averted to pain or discomfort or numbness or sadness or grief or emotion or sensation that is unfavorable or that we don't want to have. When we stop resisting that, we allow the full spectrum, we allow the pain, we allow the pleasure and it all exists together, knowing that we can hold the pain and the pleasure. All is one and these modalities. What they really do is they allow us to get super present with what is and allow that. I was on a call last night it was a coaching call in the microdose membership for the annual members that are in there and two of the women had certain things showing up and my intuition led them into the word that I heard pop out at me and led them into their body where that sensation or feeling was in the body. So one of them was explaining around money, how it just feels heavy, feels heavy to do with money, and so there's a little bee zooming around and when I led her into the body with coming into presence, going in with the breath, allowing herself to be really super present with this heaviness and just being with it, simply allowing. What is that heaviness? Without willing it to change, willing it to not be here, willing it to be something else other than what it is. Just simply being present, allowing the breath coming in and bringing all your focus and attention to allowing that sensation, which was heavinessful. Here and excuse me I'm going to say, and when she allowed that sensation, what happened? Was it naturally shifted and alchemised into something else. It felt like grief and sadness for a moment. So just allowed that sadness, feeling what that sensation is in the body, and as that transformed and alchemised, it changed into a sense of peace and bliss, as that was there, that grew and allowed her to come into a place of centredness, a place of listening, and she was reminded through her own body's wisdom. Everything was taken care of, that she's always supported that the heaviness was something that was simply in her body, that wanted to move and shift, and through the emotion of sadness and through allowing and being super present. And I find that we as beings, man and woman, we're so outward focussed, focusing on the next thing more information, what can I do, how can I change this up level, whatever that is, and we forget that it's already here, the magic and the wisdom. And our soul has eons of wisdom infinite, and we get access to that when we become so still and present with the sensation and noticing what's here in the body. And meditation is part of this being able to fully lay back and receive and be in that integration process where we're doing no thing so that the nothing or no thing can weave its magic and allow us to have clarity and see maybe the actions, maybe the words, maybe the relationships, maybe the way of being that no longer is working for us, so that we can choose again. And so these practices help us to come home into the body's wisdom, to slow down into the body's wisdom and to really feel our power. We remember that we are the medicine, we have the answers, we are the answer before we even ask the question. And if we have someone that can hold us in that, knowing that, and can lead us back to that place, that to me is one of the most powerful support systems we can have in someone who is creating a support like coaching or facilitation or mentoring or healing, because ultimately, in my belief system. I don't believe we're things that need fixing. I don't believe we're broken. I don't believe I'm broken, I don't believe you're broken. We can have the experience of that. We can believe that and have the experience of that and have the sensations of that and know that to be true until we choose the opposite experience. And this is the beauty of contrast. It's like what I was speaking of with the threshold of pleasure and pain when it becomes one, when we allow ourselves to be in the process of contrast, knowing that we desire, maybe, pleasure in our lives, we allow ourselves to feel the opposite sensation to that. That might be anxiety, that might be overwhelm, that might feel like pain, and when we allow that and know that it's part of the process on the creation, to remembering our full spectrum of pleasure, of bliss, joy, absolute wonder and gratitude for what is here. We can only really access that when we allow all of it, when we allow the anger, when we allow the pain, when we allow the grief, when we allow the opposite of what it is we probably are desiring. And that's part of the creation process is having the contrast. This game of duality that we're in in this lifetime has contrast, it has the opposites. So we need to know what we are, not to remember what we are. So if we're desiring to experience more orgasmic pleasure, we may go through a portal of pain, of disgust, of filth, of feralness, to access the complete expansiveness of the desire that we have a sensation or a feeling or a knowing or a memory vision. That's how powerful we are. We can remember from the future, knowing that that's possible, seeing another being Fuck. Look how they're living, look how they're experiencing their life, how they're speaking about it and really feeling it. Thank you for watching what. What's going on there, and I guarantee they have allowed the full spectrum of what shows up and what is and when. We're resisting what is here. And this doesn't just come down to sensations or emotions. This could be like a romantic relationship where our partners doing something that we don't like and we resist it. It's like that shouldn't be here, that's not allowed here, resisting what is, and that's not to say that we just put up with everything that comes at us. We be with what is for, what's true within ourselves. We check back in, come back in. Okay, what is it about that choice point that they're making? That's created this resistance to Allowing what is, by coming into the body and allowing the sensations to be there, coming back to neutrality and then seeing ah Okay, this is the choice point, because when we're in a charged state, when we have Something popping off for us or welling up in us, we tend to operate from default personality pattern or identity pattern to keep us safe, and that Can work to a degree and it generally comes back in a cycle because it's the same pattern, Choosing the same thing and wanting a different result. So when we come into the somatic of the body, coming into the embodiment, practices like breath, work, dance, free-flowing movement, self-pleasure, and allowing what shows, allowing tears, allowing pain, allowing discomfort, allowing pleasure, allowing flow, allowing contraction, allowing expansion, just being with what is. Everything is impermanent. This reality is Changing every single millisecond of every single day and when we can show up and not resist that change, not desiring one feeling over another, we are allowing it to flow and we're not holding on to everything. So we find that and I have found this the least desired feelings or sensations that show themselves Move quicker because we're not holding on to the story. Why is this here? Why me? What is this? What created this? Going into the story, keeping it really Cerebral and cognitive and not allowing ourselves to drop into the body's wisdom and actually feel it. And as soon as we feel it it completes itself, not from will or wanting it to be different, not from going in to be like I have to shift this because I've got x, y zed to get done today and if this is still here I can't do anything. I know a lot of people go into that space like I have to do my Embodiment practice because this can't be here for me to go into that thing. It's more about okay, this is here. How can I honor this, allow this, how can I support what's here? By becoming so super present with my attention, which is the most Beautiful currency that I have. It's the highest currency that we have. Where we focus our attention, that is where we receive. So if we can go into the body and Allow ourselves the focus and attention to what is here, we will magnify and magnetize what we are desiring to us by being the same frequency as that. And this is where embodiment practices is so powerful, because we can say affirmations from here and we can know all the things from the podcasts and the books and have all the knowledge and when someone shares that with us say, yeah, I know, yeah, I know. Are you living it, are you feeling it, are you experiencing it? And this is where we drop down from our headspace into our heart, from our heart space down into our pussies or our cocks, and we feel the full Alignment and centeredness of our being. We come into that alignment and we can really hold ourselves in the full spectrum of Sensations, in the full spectrum of Desire, in the full spectrum of truth of what's actually here. What are our innate Desires, rather than our borrowed Desires that we are being fed from social media, from our friends, from that person, from this person. We can come back into this alignment and come back into presence with what it's we realize in this moment. All needs a man. There is nothing needed here. We already have Everything. And we come into abundance, consciousness, knowing that Nothing is right or wrong. It simply is. And I know this is a hard concept to Play in or to actually embody, to actually feel. And when we allow the unraveling of right and wrong, good, bad, to become one, we're more accepting of ourselves, of others, of what is the nature of humanity, the contrast of humanity, the devastation and destruction, as well as the beauty and the glory. The profound and the profane are the one and the same and we can allow ourselves to be in relationship with that and see the profound as ourselves just as much as we can see the profane as ourselves, because there really is only one of us here and we are all walking each other home in the name, in the words of Ram Dass, and we came here to experience the contrast. If you and I were exactly the same and saw the world with exactly the same eyes and lenses, this would not be as fun. This game wouldn't be as playful and silly and ridiculous and odd and weird. Like I often say, man, humans are interesting because we are, we simply are. There are 8 billion different realities happening internally within each man and woman that exist on this Earth, and you'll notice me speaking saying man and woman because I've had some new information come in recently around the principle of gender and that could be triggering, and I'm okay with that, and remembering who we are comes back to that principle of gender and remembering that we are sovereign beings and that we get to see that we are individuals. We are here having our own experience, remembering who we are in relationship to that. And when I say man and woman, I don't mean to dismiss other identifying ways of being. That's not where I'm coming from. I'm simply changing my language from choosing a different word for the whole of what's here in this game of life, with real intention and purpose, and it makes me smile. We are all experiencing our own internal realities that were created from every millisecond that we've existed on this Earth, and also having the super consciousness of our soul, having our super conscious, our conscious and unconscious mind, and remembering that each individual has had so many moments in their lives that created the whole of who they are and how they see this world and how they create and how they react and how they be and how they respond and how they emote is so unique, based on their specific choice points. And we're in a game with 8 billion of different realities existing in this one experience happening on Earth which is trippy to my brain and when we can see that we can accept. Okay, I'm not going to see the world the same as that person. There are no two minds that are exactly the same and they never will be. We each get to see what we get to see and feel what we get to feel and everyone's truth is their truth and when we come back to the body because I was talking about embodiment practices and I got quite one bar in this we remember that connection point between all of us. The thing that breathes us, this consciousness, that's always life, giving giving us life In every single moment. That connects us. What I breathe in, you just breathed out. What I breathe out, the next person is going to breathe in the trees, creating for us. We are all one. There is only one thing happening here, and so, whilst we get to have 8 billion different experiences, we also get to remember the contrast of that, which is there is only one of us here. And when we go into the body and we feel, into these sensations, we come into this clarity, this remembrance, this knowing, this deep is-ness, which is what we're allowing. We're allowing what is, and when we come back into that is-ness, everything almost feels like a joke. All the things that we've been thinking, playing out this person, that person, all the drama kind of seems a bit ridiculous. All the reasons why we can't do the thing that we actually desire to do, that our soul is like leading us towards calling us forward. From our hearts, we hear the noise of the mind that's playing the game with us and we think, oh, okay, and we can work with the energy that's stuck in the body or the nervous system. We can create a new patterning, we can expand the lens so that we can see new possibilities and feel them, remembering that everything that we're creating in this life has a sensation attached to it, has a feeling. The soul's language is feeling and so that, say, if it's like owning a house or land, or $10,000 a month, or $100,000 a month, or having a partner and creating a family, there is a feeling that this is searching for, is longing for. I remember having a guided meditation years ago and it led me into what I was desiring, and it was partnership. And I saw this land, saw this man and a little girl, and then the person leading it led me into the sensation of my body. What creates that? What does it feel like? And it was really calm and grounded, and so when I came out of that meditation, I was like okay, so to create that, my job now is to keep coming back into a sense of calm and groundedness every single day, to intentionally create that so that that can be part of my reality, because that's the frequency, that's the transpersonal, that's the quantum feeling that attracts that to me. I now live on this beautiful land with the most gorgeous view of the mountain. We have a geodome for a ceremony space like wildest dreams come true Loving, grounded, calm partner. He has a three year old who has now become my family, and that was created through the sensations, through the embodiment work that I chose to practice to become grounded and calm, because before this relationship, a lot of my relationships were excited and fireworks and like feelings of anxiety and all over the show. As far as feelings go, I didn't have a centeredness in what I actually wanted to feel in relationship. And with him or with the partner that I was calling in, I really desired, on a body, sense, a nervous system, sense, a soul sense, to experience calm and groundedness. And he is that, he really. I experienced him as that and that has been my practice, through going into the breath, going into the body, moving my body, shaking my body, allowing what is not that to be allowed, to be felt, to be seen, to be loved and remembering. Ah, there's also calm and groundedness here with that Even though those things may, may cloud the calm and the groundness, just like when it's an overcast day and we cannot see the sun, the sun still exists, it's still there behind the clouds. The clouds just come in and cover it for a while. And this is what embodiment practices does, is it creates the clouds to go away, to move, to shift, to transform, to maybe rain to pour out of us so that we can clear, create clarity, so that we can feel whatever that sensation is. We can see the sun again, which, for me, was that grounded, calm sense in my body. When I created microdice, the membership, I was really intentional that it would be a mix of expanding consciousness, expanding possibility, reminding us the power, the beauty, the abundance that we innately are, and binding that with embodiment, and it really has the beauty of both of those things weaved into that membership, along with community of people who are willing to go there, who understand that this work is so potent, so powerful, so unique, because each of us are experiencing something so totally different. We all go into a room and all have a completely different experience of what plays out. We will see things that the next person wouldn't have even noticed, or experience a feeling that someone else wouldn't have even had any awareness of in their own body, based on the stories that's going on internally. And this is why being held in community is so beautiful, especially when it's one where the intention is to expand, to open up to new possibilities, new way of being, creating, seeing ourselves and others, seeing the world around us. It allows us to be in the play of that, to really be reflections and mirrors for each other's experiences, and to hear someone's story and relate to that, or watch their process and go, wow, I can really feel what they're feeling. I can really know what it feels like to feel heavy when it comes to money, or stuck or whatever the feeling is. And this is why microdose is such a potent place, because the beauty or the through line of it is to microdose intention, this presence every single day, to create something new, to create a new way of being, a new way of thinking, a new way of seeing, of actioning, so that you can create the reality, the desire that you actually choose, that you want. And so the invitation is here. If you'd like to join us, there is a link below. You can also subscribe to this podcast. We bring out podcasts every single week. Sometimes it's me jamming out like I was today. Sometimes I have a guest on who is in the medicine work. Whatever that zone of medicine or genius is for them, they may even be a gatekeeper to the wisdom of specific medicines. And so if you want to subscribe or follow, you can, and if you want to check out microdose the membership we're coming to the end of August we're going to have a brand new theme for September, so if you go to the page, check it out and join us, we would love to have you be part of that, and part of it is we do a breath work each month, and that breath work leads you into the body. There is so much value in that space and I created it for you to really allow yourself to be held, to be in community and held in community, and also hold yourself to really come back to the remembrance of what is allowing, what's here, so that you can move from that place.
